I've tried Opera in the past as well and for reasons I can't remember I just couldn't use it (might have been crashes, but I'm not sure if that's true for newer versions). Every time I use Chrome for a while and go back to using Safari, I think, wow Safari is so much better in terms of usability until it the crashes start. It is just a bit too different from the rest, and PDF support isn't too great. Scrolling is like molasses, for example, and that affects the experience a ton.Ĭamino is like a faster Firefox, but misses a lot of features I would like.Ĭhrome is like a faster Firefox and a more stable Safari, but overall I just couldn't get used to it. It also uses up a ton of memory, and since I only have 2 GB I need as much as I can useįirefox has tons of extensions, but runs very slow, and the user experience leaves a lot to be desired especially compared to Safari. I've heard of other people experiencing this so it's not just my computer. Safari is fast and reads PDFs well, but it crashes way too much, and often causes my AirPort to drop for no reason. I use a MacBook and I've consistently found every browser on OS X to be either difficult to use or unusable: ![]()
